The correct choice of each component in relation to the final use is one of the most important contribution to the overall plant performances.
The complete range of ZHENXING belts is produced according to the international standards; therefore the cross reinforcement of the carcass ensures the necessary transversal stiffness and prevents from hitting the full width return idlers.
Sketches on the right show typical but not exhaustive Flexobord layouts; the belt designer must take into consideration these alternatives to guarantee correct plant performances.
BASE BELT SELECTION
According to the heaviness of the application, the following base belt typologies are available:
1.XE/XE+2 - These belts are made of textile fabrics with high transversal stiffness, provided by 2 additional special synthetic layers set in the cover rubber. This ensures the correct cross-stabilizing properties. They are designed for light and medium applications and are provided with cut edges.
2.XE-SC+2 - Composed of a mix of multi-ply synthetic carcass and suitable steel reinforcement, this belt type ensures high transversal stiffness for heavy Flexobord applications. It is provided only with moulded edges and can be sold as an independent product. The main difference from the XE/XE+2 is the presence of transversal steel cords in the cover.
3.XSTSC - Designed for the heaviest applications where high elevation and/or conveying capacity are involved, this belt is composed of longitudinal steel cords with special transversal steel reinforcement to ensure the required stiffness. Available in a full range from 800 to 3500 KN/m, it can also be sold as an independent product. For correct belt selection, please contact our technical department. ABRASION RESISTANT SIDEWALLCONVEYOR BELT
(L grade ISO 10247 - Y grade DIN 22102 - RMA II grade)
- Standard abrasion resistance compound:
Abrasion sidewall is a cover rubber recommended for all ground applications and for the majority part of the materials, where resistance to abrasion is required. ZHENXING belts with ABRASION compounds are suitable to handle heavy and/or abrasive material such as gravel, stone, sand, aggregates, coal, cement, etc.

- Extra abrasion resistance compound:
High Abrasion is superior quality cover rubber, especially designed where maximum resistance to abrasion is required. The characteristics of resistance to cut, tear and ozone cracking, together with long duration, improve the quality of this cover. it is expressly recommended for steel works and iron mines; however, it is recommended for heavy lump ore, coke, salt, limestone too.
FIRE RESISTANT SIDEWALL CONVEYOR BELT
(K grade DIN 22102, class 2A EN 12882)
- Self-extinguish product: FR Sidewall belt is a product designed to service both underground and above ground application where safety is fundamental and fire risk is high. It is recommended in particular for coal and potash applications. it is self-extinguish and antistatic according to ISO 340 and ISO 284 or equivalent.

- Self-extinguish and oil resistant product:
FRMOR: is a nitrile rubber, it provides superior resistances to vegetable oils and animal fats; it is also self-extinguish and antistatic according to ISO 340 and ISO 284, or equivalent in order to guarantee high safety to the conveyor plant.
OIL RESISTANT SIDEWALL CONVEYOR BELT
(G grade DIN 22102)
- Vegetable oil resistance compound:
MOR:is a cover rubber that guarantees a good belt resistance against the chemically aggressive effects due to the transport of materials with moderate oil presence, like corn, fertilizers and general vegetable oily materials. MOR is expressly designed to resist the terpene of wooden chips and to convey solid urban waste materials.
High oil resistance compound:
HOR is a premium quality cover rubber with maximum resistance to oils and characterized by low volume variations after immersion in highly aggressive mineral oils. It is expressly realized for belts conveying materials sodden with mineral oils, as for example the mechanical manufacturing rejects.
HEAT RESISTANT SIDEWALL CONVEYOR BELT
HR150 - Medium temperature resistance:
HR150 is a rubber compound assuring a medium degree of abrasion resistance; it is formulated for continuous service with hot coarse materials at a temperature of 130°C with peaks of 150°C.
HR 180- High temperature resistance: HR 180- is a rubber compound assuring a good abrasion resistance. It is designed for continuous service at a temperature of 150°C with peaks of 180°C.
Package and Storage: Humanized and Safe Method |
In order to protect sidewall conveyor belt properly, it must be stored in steel crate or container during transport until installation. The belt should be stored in a place that dry, away from direct sunlight and thermal environment. Long-term temperature variation will cause adverse effect to belt. The ideal storage environment for temperature is between 10-21 degrees celsius. It will make the belt sclerosis or curing if it is long-term exposed to temperature of lower than 5 degree, which will cause the belt offtrack after installation and what's more, to impact the operation effect and belt service life.
Sidewall Conveyor Belts leave the production line packed in such a way as to ensure safe transportation. It is important to always lift the steel crate from underneath by strapes or chains when handling it. Do not lift the crate at any other points as damage may result.
It is essential that when offloading and unpacking the belt that the utmost care be taken not to damage the belt. The belt should be unpacked as the following sketches, it is most important that under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should a steel cable or rope be used to lift the belt either out of a crate or onto the conveyor.
