Chevron belts are typically available in open 'V' or closed 'V' patterns etched onto the skin. These patterns help conveyor belt technicians evaluate different types and asses them based on their post installation applications.
The V shaped patterns also vary in height and size. The depth of the pattern typically ranges between 15mm and 25mm. Again, the varying size of the pattern makes chevron conveyor belts useful for a number of different applications. Typically, the higher the pattern is from the base belt surface, the more likely the belt is to be used at inclined angles. The patterns keep the products being moved safely locked into place.
The belt carcass is typically made up of cotton, polyester or nylon. However, the pattern shape may be made using a different material due to the different kinds of materials transported through the belt.
