Multi layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt
Abstract:
The structure and performance characteristics of multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt are introduced.
The multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt is composed of an upper covering glue, an upper laminating glue, a steel wire rope core skeleton layer (at least two layers), a core glue, a rubber reinforcing layer, a lower laminating glue and a lower covering glue. The wire ropes are arranged corresponding to each other or staggered. Compared with ordinary steel cord rubber conveyor belts, multi-layer steel cord cord rubber conveyor belts have higher longitudinal tensile strength, better fatigue resistance, impact resistance and puncture resistance, and longer service life.

Rubber conveyor belt has developed from single layer to multi-layer, from cotton canvas to synthetic fiber and metal material. Functional transport becomes possible. The service life of the rubber conveyor belt is determined by the structure and material of the conveyor belt, as well as the conveyed materials and the conditions of use. The basic requirements for rubber conveyor belts are: sufficient tensile strength and modulus, low elongation, good impact resistance and fatigue resistance.
1 The structure of the rubber conveyor belt
The rubber conveyor belt is composed of the upper and lower layers of covering rubber wrapping the core skeleton. The rubber conveyor belt whose skeleton material is multi-layer wire rope core is called multi-layer wire rope core rubber conveyor belt. The multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt is the high-strength traction and carrying member of the belt conveyor.
2 Features of ordinary steel cord rubber conveyor belt
Ordinary steel cord rubber conveyor belt has the following characteristics.
(1) The longitudinal tensile strength of the ordinary steel cord rubber conveyor belt can reach 8 400 kN m-1, if necessary, its longitudinal tensile strength
The strength can reach more than 10 000 kN m-1.
- The safety multiple of ordinary steel cord rubber conveyor belt is smaller than that of fabric core rubber conveyor belt. (4) The elongation of the ordinary steel cord rubber conveyor belt is small, and the tensioning stroke is short.
(5) Ordinary steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt has good troughing and straight running performance, and can transport more materials under the same bandwidth and belt speed conditions.
(6) The ordinary steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt has good dynamic performance and can be used to transport large-quality and large-sized ores. The steel wire rope core skeleton is wrapped in the rubber material. During the vulcanization process, the rubber material penetrates between the steel wire ropes and is firmly bonded to the steel wire ropes. Therefore, the impact resistance and service life of the steel rope core rubber conveyor belt exceed that of the fabric core rubber conveyor belt. The transverse reinforcement layer is added, and the steel cord rubber conveyor belt has better impact resistance.
(7) The tensile strength and service life of the steel cord rubber conveyor belt joint are basically the same as other parts of the belt body.
3 Structure of multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt
The multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt is sequentially from top to bottom along its thickness direction: upper covering glue, upper laminating glue, steel wire rope core skeleton, core glue, rubber reinforcement layer, lower laminating glue, lower covering glue, as shown in Figure 1 Show. The steel wire rope core skeleton includes a plurality of steel wire ropes arranged in parallel in the width direction of the conveyor belt and the core rubber between the adjacent steel wire ropes.
The structural characteristics of the multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt are as follows.

(2) The rubber reinforcing layer between the steel wire rope core skeleton layer and the layer not only plays the role of bonding the steel wire rope core skeleton layer to realize the combination of multi-layer steel wire rope core skeleton, but also plays a buffering and reinforcing role, which greatly improves the overall strength and strength of the conveyor belt. (3) The thickness of the rubber reinforcement layer is related to the diameter of the wire rope. When the diameter of the wire rope is 1 to 4.5 mm, the thickness of the rubber reinforcement layer is 0.5 to 2 mm; when the diameter of the wire rope is 4.5 to 8 mm, the thickness of the rubber reinforcement layer is 2 to 3 mm; When the diameter is 8 to 15 mm, the thickness of the rubber reinforcement layer is 3 to 5 mm.
(4) When the wire ropes of the adjacent layers of the wire rope core skeleton are staggered, the number of wire ropes in the adjacent layers differs by one. For example, when there are three layers of steel wire rope core skeleton, the first layer has one more wire rope than the second layer, the third layer has one more wire rope than the second layer, and the number of wire ropes in the first layer is equal to that of the third layer.
4 Properties of multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt

The performance advantages of multi-layer steel cord rubber conveyor belts are as follows.
(1) Compared with ordinary steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belts, multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belts have high overall tensile strength due to many skeleton layers, and can be used for long-distance, large material (body) transportation, and the longitudinal tensile strength can reach Above 20 000 kN m-1.
(2) The multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt has good fatigue resistance. The finite element analysis shows that the multi-layer steel cord rubber conveyor belt has two or more layers of skeleton, and the force of each part is uniform and balanced during use, so the fatigue resistance is improved.
(3) The multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt has good impact resistance. When the skeleton wire ropes are staggered, the arrangement density of the wire ropes is high, and the wire ropes at the falling part of the material are more evenly stressed, which effectively reduces the impact force on the belt body when the material falls.
(4) The multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt has good puncture resistance. When the shape of the conveyed material is irregular, some sharp materials will pierce the belt body. Since the multi-layer steel wire rope core skeleton effectively reduces the impact force of the material falling, the phenomenon of material piercing the belt body is greatly reduced, and even if the belt body has The damaged part will hardly expand, and the repair is more convenient, thereby avoiding or reducing the production stoppage caused by the damage of the belt body.
- The multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt joint has high strength. Tests show that the longitudinal tensile strength of the joint part of the multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt reaches 98% to 105% of the other parts of the belt body
(1) The multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt greatly increases the transportation efficiency and transportation volume of materials due to its high strength. In the same time, the amount of material transported by the multi-layer steel cord rubber conveyor belt is 1 to 2 times that of the ordinary steel cord rubber conveyor belt.
(2) The multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt has good fatigue resistance and puncture resistance, which reduces the damage of the material to the belt body during the conveying process. Even if the covering rubber is worn, the intermediate rubber reinforcement layer and the steel wire rope are still tightly bonded As a whole, the belt body can continue to convey materials. The service life of the multi-layer steel corded rubber conveyor belt is 2 to 3 times that of the ordinary steel corded rubber conveyor belt, which greatly reduces the amount of conveyor belt replacement and the loss caused by production stoppage when replacing the conveyor belt.
The disadvantage of the multi-layer steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belt is that because the steel wire rope core is used as the skeleton, the thickness and quality of the belt body are large, which increases the quality of the belt body and thus increases the transportation cost.
